Senior Product Engineer

Summary

We are looking for a Software Engineer to design, build, and maintain reliable, scalable web applications and platform services. You will work across the full software development lifecycle—from understanding product requirements and designing technical solutions to implementation, testing, deployment, monitoring, and continuous improvement. In this role, you will collaborate closely with product managers, designers, and other engineers to deliver user-focused features and robust backend services. You will have ownership of meaningful technical problems, contribute to architectural decisions, and help establish engineering practices that improve code quality, performance, security, and developer productivity.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, test, deploy, and maintain scalable web applications, APIs, and backend services.
• Translate product requirements and user needs into well-structured, maintainable technical solutions.
• Build and integrate RESTful APIs and services while ensuring reliability, security, and efficient data exchange.
• Develop responsive and accessible user interfaces in collaboration with product and UX/UI teams.
• Design and optimize database schemas, queries, and data-access layers for performance and scalability.
• Write clean, reusable, well-tested code and participate actively in code reviews and technical design discussions.
• Investigate production issues, diagnose root causes, and implement reliable fixes and preventative measures.
• Contribute to automated testing, CI/CD pipelines, monitoring, logging, and other engineering productivity practices.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to plan releases, estimate technical work, and communicate progress and risks.
• Continuously evaluate new technologies and engineering practices that can improve product quality and development efficiency.

Desired Skills

• 2+ years of professional software development experience or equivalent practical experience.
• Strong proficiency in at least one programming language such as JavaScript/TypeScript, Python, Java, Go, or C#.
• Experience developing production-quality web applications and RESTful APIs.
• Solid understanding of data structures, algorithms, software design principles, and object-oriented or functional programming concepts.
• Practical experience with relational databases such as PostgreSQL or MySQL and proficiency with SQL.
• Experience with Git and modern software development workflows.
• Familiarity with automated testing, debugging, and performance optimization.
• Understanding of secure software development practices, authentication, authorization, and common web security principles.
• Strong problem-solving, analytical, communication, and collaboration skills.
• Preferred / Nice to Have:
• Experience with React, Next.js, Vue, Angular, or another modern frontend framework.
• Experience with Node.js, Django, Spring Boot, FastAPI, or another backend framework.
• Familiarity with Docker, Kubernetes, or cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud.
• Experience designing distributed systems, microservices, event-driven architectures, or GraphQL APIs.
• Familiarity with CI/CD tools and observability platforms.
• Contributions to open-source projects or experience working on developer-facing products.
